Jeremy and I had a great Christmas holiday getting to see a lot of family. With all the snow that Minnesota received last week we were hopeful but not expecting to get home to Chicago on Christmas day. Jeremy had off on Christams Eve and i was supposed to work. Well it hasnt happened in many years but Scott County closed its offices due to the expected weather for Christmas Eve.
Jeremy and I started our Christmas Eve by running a few last errands before heading down to Belle Plaine. Jeremy took me to Target to get my very own shovel (man and I lucky!). We then shoveled the driveway and sidewalks and picked Anne up as the weather started to get worse. Just imagine what the three of us in the front of Jeremy's red ranger looked like going down the highway with us and presents filling the cab and suitcases in the bed of the truck. We made it down in time to leave for church. Not that I was counting or anything, church service was immensly quick this year 50 minutes! That was nothing compared to the 2.5 hour service last year! We ate way to much food and played games at my parents house with my parents, brother, Anne, Jeremy and I and my mom's sister Jackie and son Adam. It was a small Christmas this year!
Christmas morning went fast. We had a little commotion that morning as smoke filled the basement and fearing the worst, another chimney fire, dad comfimed that it wasnt a chimney fire after "playing Santa Clause" by crawling up on the roof, leaning a ladder against the chimney and crawling up to examine the situation. We wont get into the long details of what all unfolded but will add to never underestimate what a mouth full of water and drinking straws will do. We didnt have much time to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Edberg as we would of liked but we were able to fit in a quick glass of wine and we were off for the airport.
The airport was empty when we got there so there was no trouble getting through security. The plane was even emptier, only 20 or so of us aon a full size airplane! That makes for a quick departure and arrival to Chicago. Jeremys dad picked us up at the airport and we headed down to Grandpa and Grandma Jameson's house for Christmas. We celebrated with them and headed back to Jeremys parents and opened presents with Jerems parents and Brad and Kate.
Saturday morning we headed to Davenport Iowa to celebrate with the Dorick side. More presents, food and games made for a fun night! The sledding was the best. Fish, Brad and Kate's black lab burnt off some energy by chasing everyone down the sledding hill. Sunday brought some hiking through Scott County (Iowa) Park.
We had some great family quality time this Christmas! We are very thankful that the weather worked with us and allowed us to travel 3 different states this Christmas.
Jeremy and my travels are not quite done for 2009. We are headed tomorrow to Causeway on Gull to spend the rest of the week and New Years with my parents at their timeshare. Snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, tubing, hottubing....here we come!
Hope everyone had a great, safe and happy holiday!
PS-Jeremy got me a GREAT new camera for Christmas so be looking for some great pictures soon!

Welcome!
I thought this would be a fun way to stay connected to everyone through updates on what's going on with Jeremy and I and also so that we could share pictures of what we have been doing.
I just had to count back and couldnt believe it! The wedding was now more than 4 months ago! Gosh, time flys :)
Since the wedding we have been working hard on getting the house finished up. It was accomplished sometime the beginning of October. I will get some before and after pictures up, so check them out!
Jeremy and I went on our Honeymoon over Thanksgiving week to Aruba. Aruba was beautiful...a constant 90 degrees and sunny!
We are getting ready for the holidays. We will be spending New Years Eve with the Lucas's (Kristin's mom's side) at my parents house. Christmas day we will stop by my grandparents for a quick hello and then will be off the the airport to catch an afternoon flight to Chicago. From Chicago we will spend sometime with Jeremys grandparents and also head to Iowa to celebrate with Jeremy's dad's side of the family.
Well for now, that is all. I will try to get some pictures up soon.
XOXO
